Maidened my giant biplane today. Flies like a dream! It's crazy stable and surprisingly nimble. I have way too much power, it's got unlimited vertical and easily putters around at half throttle.
Flight 3 was interesting, I lost a screw that connected the rudder to the rudder servo: no yaw control. I didn't actually notice at first, then noticed something was wrong, but couldn't figure it out, all I knew was my rudder wasn't working. Then I realized I had to land, which might be tough without yaw control. Put her in the grass, no problem.
I think I'm going to like this plane!

What is this? A plane for ants?

Nice job and cool plane. Rudders are kind of overrated anyway. Now elevators are a bad one to loose.

Control is for wimps.

Congrats! It'd be cool as shit to own a plane. Now I just have to get that darn pilot's license... and money.

Really cool plane.
You have to find a Snoopy doll with aviator hat, goggles and scarf to jam in there:

DX6i?
I Love my spectrum transmitter.

Yup, the dx6i has been good, but it's been acting odd a bit lately. It's been mixing up airplane settings between my models, it's done it twice.
I'd like to upgrade but Id rather spend the money on my car

Model planes are cheaper ;)

I can see how this will play out:
1. Buy model plane
2. Begin assembling model plane in dorm
3. Female walks in...
4. Girls no longer talk to me
Sadly in college you're not quite old enough to start being a kid again. But let me tell you, the minute I graduate, I'm going straight for the HotWheels isle. I fucking miss the HotWheels isle.

I started doing RC in college. Of course I'm single but whatever, I have planes

FACT: Plane ownership results in romantic relationships.
(at a bar)
Guy: "Oh well, why don't we head home, my Aston is out back."
Girl: "Okay! Let me jus.."
Jayhawk: "Cool story bro, I have a fucking plane. Hi, I'm Jake."
That should do it for you. You can thank me later in the form of a plane ride.

I think you're confusing the planes I have. All models, the one above is the biggest at 15 pounds.
If you have a hamster I could give it a ride, but that's about it

This is news to me... I thought that was a real plane, no shit. I didn't understand any of the jargon since I don't know a thing about planes, but it turns out it was all RC plane jargon I didn't understand. Talk about a big ass remote control plane though, that's still nuts.

The only problem I have had with it is when I use the Aileron/elevator mixing for my delta wing it seems to turn the function off any time it is powered down and then turned back on. All the settings stay mixing is just turned off, so I have to remember to turn it on before flight or bad things will happen. Biplane looks incredibly fun, Happy Flying!

Haha yeah, the gray box on the ground in front of the plane is my transmitter, looks like this:
It's the biggest (RC) plane I've ever flown, twice as big as my next biggest plane (that one is ~6 pounds). 70" top wing span, 62.5" bottom wing span.
